Lemon prices in the market have risen by 15% due to the tail-end of supply from Egypt and Turkey , driving up demand for the initial shipments from South Africa.

Spanish Navel oranges have now entered Jeddah market, marking a shift away from Egyptian supply due to quality issues. Prices are anticipated to remain steady over the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the price of new season Nadorcotts from Morocco is facing pressure due to an oversupply from Turkey and Egypt in the market

Summer Blush pears (Rosemarie/Flamingo varieties) from South Africa are performing well in the market during Ramadan. However, there has been a sharp decline in the price of non-blush pears, as they are less favoured by the market.

Royal Gala apples from Italy are performing well due to the lack of availability from South Africa. Shipments of Royal Gala apples from South Africa will begin arriving from this week (week 11).

Currently, only Iranian kiwifruit is available in the market, and the market is performing well due to the lack of competition from other countries. However, with the Iranian kiwifruit crop down by 30% this season, there may be a strong opportunity for Chilean kiwifruit in the Middle East market.
