In General
The market has been trading at a more moderate pace than typically expected for the week leading up to Eid. This has resulted in some fluctuations in price levels, making the market slightly more unpredictable at present. During this period, consumer spending also tends to shift toward clothing and gifts in preparation for Eid.
On a positive note, prices for apples, pears, and kiwifruit continue to strengthen, with increases being seen across most commodities as current market conditions support firmer price levels for goods.

Citrus
Good volumes of mainly Egyptian, Turkish, and Syrian oranges and soft citrus are currently available in the market. At present, there is a shortage of lemons in the Saudi market, which is pushing lemon prices even higher.
Dubai supermarkets have received government subsidies and are selling fruit at up to 50% below cost, placing significant pressure on the wholesale market.
South Africa
Supply from early South African growing regions is expected to increase further. This should gradually improve availability in the market. Rain in the Northern part of the country will delay packing next week with limited volume expected next week.

Grape & Stone
Grapes
South African white, red, and black seedless grapes should remain the main source of supply in the market. Availability is expected to stay strong in the short term, keeping prices relatively stable. Seeded grapes may continue to perform well due to their tighter supply, which could help maintain favorable pricing for good-quality fruit.
Stone Fruit
Apricots will likely continue to decline in availability as the season comes to a close. Supplies are expected to become even tighter, and quality may remain inconsistent. Plum volumes may stay limited, which should continue supporting stable to slightly higher prices.
